Who is responsible for your data
The site leclosamarante.fr is published by Laurent Chappey, sole trader, 49 rue Nationale, 41700 Cour-Cheverny, France. For any question about your personal data: contact@leclosamarante.fr.
The data we process, and why
Contact or booking enquiry. When you write to us or ask about dates, we collect your name, e-mail address, telephone number if you provide it (it is optional), your browsing language, the dates requested, the number of guests and your message. This information is used solely to reply to you and prepare your stay (pre-contractual measures, article 6.1.b of the GDPR).
Booking and contract. If you book, your acceptance of the rental contract constitutes an electronic signature: as proof, we keep the date and time of that acceptance and the IP address from which it was made. A copy of the signed contract is sent to you by e-mail. The e-mails we send you about your stay (confirmations, balance payment link) are kept in your booking file.
Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, Ireland), a certified payment provider. Your card number is entered directly into Stripe’s secure module and never passes through our servers: we have no access to it. We keep only the transaction references and amounts. The security deposit hold works the same way, and is never charged unless damage is recorded. Stripe may transfer certain data outside the European Union under the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses).
Invoicing. Invoices are kept for ten years, in line with accounting and tax obligations.
E-mail. Our mailbox contact@leclosamarante.fr is hosted by OVH (France). Messages are also relayed to the owners’ mailboxes operated by Google Ireland Ltd, within that provider’s GDPR safeguards.
Retention periods
Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted at the latest three years after the last contact. Booking files, contracts and signature proofs are kept for five years after the end of the stay (contractual limitation period). Invoices are kept for ten years. Your data is never sold, rented or passed on to third parties for commercial purposes.
Cookies and audience measurement
This site uses no advertising cookies and no profiling trackers, and therefore displays no consent banner. The “My stay” feature (favourites) is stored only in your browser and is not transmitted to us. At payment, Stripe sets the cookies strictly necessary for transaction security, which are exempt from consent.
To understand how the site is used (pages viewed, where visits come from), we use the audience measurement tool Matomo, installed on our own servers: no data leaves our hosting, IP addresses are anonymised and no cross-site tracking takes place, in line with the consent exemption provided for by the French data protection authority (CNIL).
Finally, some content on the site is loaded from third-party services (Google Fonts typefaces, Wikimedia Commons photographs, map tiles): when this content loads, your IP address is technically transmitted to them, as with any web content.
Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data. Simply write to contact@leclosamarante.fr; we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
